Almost flying
Well, it's been more than 5 years since I start working in the SEO world, it was the time to move on. 2 years spent with SEO agencies and 3 on client side has given me the necessary experience to offer a competent service.I registered as self employed and I already have 3 clients. It's not bad for the start, in the next months I should grow and stabilize the business. Until then, I have to provide a very good service for my existing customers since I count on word of mouth promotion.

My first triple result in Google!!! :D
Probably I will start to write more about what I'm doing at work, especially when good things happen. :)
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, that means having good results in search engines and improve the websites conversions.
I just checked the rankings of my "baby", ndt-consultants.co.uk website (my ex-company), developed 100% by myself, from scratch. It's not great in terms of design, but ranks well!
For example, as a measure for it's success, I had about 70 first positions for searches describing company products types or services. From this 70, 30 are actually double results, which means the website had 2 results, first and second position! Of course that felt great! :D
But today, after a routine check, I discovered I have a triple result for "tam panels" (position 1, 2 and 3)
Since they are so rare (I haven't seen one until today) I quickly took a snapshot, 'cause I have no idea how much they will last! Here it is: (check "tam panels" in Google.co.uk http://goo.gl/ngUL)

Weeeeee!!!!! Biking! Yeah! :D
I ride a bike again, after several years of pause.
My colleague Julian borrow me one of his bikes to test if I can bike every day from Coventry to Kenilworth, where I work (about 10 miles). Well, I took the test but unfortunately I will not use the bike to get there and back every day. First of all, I'm afraid of the cars, some drivers are going really fast and risky, and second, I don't want to be sweat at the office, we don't have shower facilities.
Anyway, it was nice remembering my old friend, the bike. Ahhhhhhh....... :D

In Coventry and Birmingham with a dear friend :)
Life is better with friends. :) We had a nice weekend with Radu Lazarutu visiting us! He works for Siemens in Romania (Timisoara) and is detached at the moment in London. We still remember the fantastic weekend spent at his home near Borsec in 2006 when he hosted an AIESEC conference, just few weeks after Diana and I got together.
Borsec, Romania 2006
Well, it was definitely out of routine for us! It's good that he likes cars 'cause in Coventry we have the largest transport museum in the UK and there are 2 of the fastest cars on the planet, Thrust2 (1983) and ThrustSSC (1997), true rockets on wheels. The speed record breaking simulator was nice as well!
ThrustSSC
at the Coventry Cathedral tower, loads of steps (181)
Coventry Cathedral, seen from the tower, what's left after WW2 bombings
relaxing in a city centre park... trying local jacked potatoes.
Bull Ring in Birmingham - the busiest UK shopping centre (39.5 million buyers).
Come back Radu, there's far more to see, hope next time we'll have better weather and will be able to do more outdoor activities! :)

Technical SEO, Link Building Specialist at Miromedia in Kenilworth
Following my experiences as agency link builder and in-house SEO/webmaster, today I started my new job, first one with responsibilities in a media agency dealing with a big number of accounts. This is a logical step in my career, to be honest, I wasn't expect to find a match so fast but it came just at the right moment, it was the time to move on from my previous company, the job was completed, they didn't need me any more - briefly: 70 first positions, another 150 listings on first page. There was also the "luck" element involved, chances for such a match were small at this moment (economical crisis) in this area (Warwickshire & West Midlands) where the unemployment rate is one of the highest in the UK. Let's see how it goes, the start was fantastic! :) We will work for the whole West Midlands area including Coventry area, so everyone's invited to click on our link for SEO Coventry.

How to be successful, simple guide
Take a little bit of Madonna attitude, Janet Jackson choreography, Ace of Base rhythm and the result is: Lady Gaga. Original rubbish.

Eurovision 2010, good songs, bad songs, funny moment
Lena - Germany, the winner. Is this the best?
Here are several performances that I think were better:
Alyosha - Ukraine
Eva Rivas - Armenia
Peter Nalich -Russia - great parody this one! :))
Paula Seling & Ovi - Romania
A bad mark for: Portugal "Celine Dion - Beauty and the Beast" inspired
France with a new "Ricky Martin - The cup of life"
and Denmark's original copy of "Puff Daddy - I'll be missing you" and "Army of lovers - I give my life"
and the funny part: Spain's stage invasion! :)

I hate days like this!
Following a bad period with 2 broken laptops and other minor failures, after my JD is slowly changing to a monkey job, I was told to change desk at work, leaving my nice office at the first floor with nice view for the research and development room, sharing the space with another 4 people.
That really affected my morale, since I don't really appreciate unpleasant surprises, I didn't expect that and it just gave me new ideas for my personal development, if you know what I mean...
Just replace "baby" with "dear company" and the message is delivered!
