Coventry; city center

The historical city center (or what remained after WW2 bombings) is made from the cathedral, remained not repaired after the war, to remind about the horrors in that times and Spon Street. That's it... in rest are just pubs and stores, commercial center, banks, etc. The city looks like that because it was almost completely destroyed by Luftwaffe. Coventry was from the beginning an industrial place, strategic during the war, that's why it was a main target for Germans.

Spon Street; Soon after the war they decided to move all the old houses remained on a street in the center. It looks like a medieval street, there are wooden houses from 12Th-13Th century... at the ground floor there are shops and restaurants.

Stop! I have to comment about next picture: Actually... No Comment! :) ... just a bin in the middle of the sidewalk...

A small park where it is an artificial lake with lots of birds (It is called here by people "The Indian Ocean", 'cause in this area are living lots of Indian and Pakistani immigrants :) they have even a mosque)
