Basescu & Geoana after the debate - Elections 2009
The final debate, the last step to Cotroceni Palace for this 2 guys!
I will not insist about the topics and Q&As, but let's have a look on the final picture which might tell us the winner:

Let's analyze the Body Language signs! It is known that every detail counts and the last picture after the debate tells us who is the moral winner. The candidates also know this, so they will try to use every little trick to appear as the dominant one!
The body size:
60%-40% for Mr Geoana's side (useless comments here, he is simply bigger. Also note that he is a little bit twisted, so in the picture appears about 95% of his body, while Basescu has his body present in his maximum size)
The vertical axe:
51%-49% for Mr Basescu.
The smile:
I would say 60%-40% for Mr Basescu who has a natural smile, while Mr Geoana's is a little bit exaggerated, he doesn't smile very often and it's not looking natural for him.
The handshake:
Mr Geoana was placed in the left side, normally who is staying in the left has an advantage because at the handshake moment he has his palm over the other one - a very strong indicator for dominance and power! But, let's have a close look! :)
75%-25% for Mr Basescu, both hands are so clear on Mr Geoana's territory, twisting his arm and making it look unnatural together with the smile. His arm is also covering a piece of Geoana's body! Mr Basescu has 55%-45% just for the palms area because he is using his fingers to cover the palms and his thumb is on top!
So, the picture tells us that Mr Basescu was the winner of the debate! We will see tomorrow if he will remain President for the next 5 years!
